It was expected that political pressure to build thousands of homes in the South East would influence the Inspector's decision at the Honeypot Lane Public Inquiry in August 2007, but we did not expect him to back the developer Berkeley Homes hook, line and sinker.
It was astonishing that with all the evidence provided by the Boroughappointed solicitors and witnesses, and CAPRA's detailed analysis of the poor design and the grotesque densities to provide nearly 800 dwellings that went way beyond the London Plan and Harrow's UDP's recommendations, that the Inspector could recommend so emphatically this scheme that he said would "bring prosperity" to the area, and that the design would "enhance the area"......
