It may have been noticed that there are now only two of these large (1,100 litre) refuse bins on the problem corner of Howberry Road. The reason is that (unbelievably) these bins are being stolen. This has happened on several occasions. They cost £400 each and there is apparently a good financial outlet in (guess where) Europe, of course. However, HBC are at present having a trial period of using just two bins but emptying them twice weekly....
